Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 September 2026

Overview

Ultimate Player is developed by Toby Jones. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Ultimate Player on your Apple devices. In short: the app is designed to work without collecting personal information from you, and all your media streams stay private between your devices and your servers.

Information we don't collect

Ultimate Player does not require you to sign up, create an account, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal details to use the app. We don't operate our own analytics or advertising systems, and we don't sell or share your information - because we don't collect it in the first place.

Media streams and server connections

When you stream videos from your Jellyfin, Plex, Emby, or IPTV servers, the video data flows directly between your device and your server. Ultimate Player does not intercept, log, or store your video streams. Your server credentials are stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to us.

3D Conversion

When you choose to convert a video to 3D using our AI conversion service, the video is temporarily sent to our servers for processing. After conversion is complete, the processed file is returned to you and the temporary processing data is deleted. We do not retain copies of your original or converted videos. Conversion is opt-in and requires credit purchase.

iCloud Sync

Your viewing history, playback positions, server connections, and preferences can sync across your devices using your personal iCloud account when iCloud Drive is enabled. This data is held in your iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy - we don't have access to it, and it isn't stored on servers we operate.

Purchases and payments

In-app purchases - including 3D conversion credits and any premium features - are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment details; that information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Crash reports and diagnostics

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's Privacy settings, Apple may provide us with anonymised crash and performance reports to help us fix bugs. These reports don't identify you personally. You can turn this sharing off at any time in Settings.

Children's privacy

Ultimate Player does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app requires no account and no personal data to use, there is nothing of that kind for us to hold.

Security

We take your privacy seriously. Video streams between your devices and your servers are encrypted. Server credentials are encrypted and stored only on your local device, never transmitted or stored on our servers.

Changes to this policy

If anything about how Ultimate Player handles data changes, we'll update this page and, where required, the App Store's privacy label before that change ships.
