Overview
Best Before is developed by Toby Jones. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Best Before on iOS. In short: the app is designed to work completely privately, without requiring you to create an account or hand over personal information to us.
Information we don't collect
Best Before does not require you to sign up, log in, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal details to use the app. We don't operate our own analytics or advertising systems, and we don't sell or share your information - because we don't collect it in the first place.
Your data & iCloud sync
Your food inventory, settings, and any custom entries are stored on your device and synced securely using your personal iCloud account (CloudKit). That data is held in your iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy. We do not have access to it, and it is not stored on any third-party servers.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment details; that information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Diagnostics
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's Privacy settings, Apple may provide us with anonymised crash and performance reports to help us fix bugs. These reports don't identify you personally. You can turn this sharing off at any time in your device Settings.
Changes to this policy
If anything about how Best Before handles data changes, we'll update this page and the App Store's privacy label.
