Frequently asked questions

How do I start a match?

From the home screen, tap "Match", add your players, choose a starting score (301, 501 or custom) and checkout rule, and tap Start Match. Then simply tap the ring, multiplier and number for each throw - the app handles the rest.

What checkout rules are supported?

Darts supports straight-out, double-out and master-out finishes. It automatically validates every checkout against the rule you've chosen, including two-dart finishes.

What happens if I go bust?

Darts detects invalid busts automatically - going below zero or leaving exactly one - and resets your turn score, just like a real match.

Can I undo a mistake?

Yes - tap the undo button at any point during scoring to remove the last throw. You can undo multiple throws in a row if needed.

How do competitions work?

Tap "Competition" from the home screen, add your players, and choose round robin or knockout. Darts builds the bracket or table automatically and updates it as you record results.

What's a Timed game?

Timed games race the clock - score as many points as you can before the buzzer sounds. They're great for quick warm-ups or casual play that doesn't need full match rules.

Where are my stats and match history stored?

All your matches, players and statistics are stored locally on your iPhone. They're completely private - we never see or collect this data.

Does the app work offline?

Yes - Darts works completely offline. Play matches, competitions and timed games anywhere, and everything is saved to your device.
