Overview
DoP Toolkit is developed by Toby Jones. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use DoP Toolkit on your Apple devices. In short: the app is designed to work without collecting personal information from you, and every calculation happens on your own device.
Information we don't collect
DoP Toolkit does not require you to sign up, create an account, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal details to use the app. We don't operate our own analytics or advertising systems, and we don't sell or share your information - because we don't collect it in the first place.
Calculations and camera data
Depth of field, field of view, timecode, storage, and sun and golden hour calculations are all performed locally on your device. Any custom sensor profiles or presets you create are stored on your device and are not transmitted to us.
Location data
The Sun & Golden Hour calculator can use your device's location, or a location you enter manually, to calculate accurate sunrise, sunset, golden hour, and blue hour times. Location access is optional, used only for this calculation, and is never sent to our servers.
Subscriptions
If you choose to subscribe to unlock the full app, that purchase is handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We don't receive or store your payment details. See Apple's Standard EULA for the terms that apply to subscriptions.
Crash reports and diagnostics
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's Privacy settings, Apple may provide us with anonymised crash and performance reports to help us fix bugs. These reports don't identify you personally. You can turn this sharing off at any time in Settings.
Children's privacy
DoP Toolkit does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app requires no account and no personal data to use, there is nothing of that kind for us to hold.
Security
We take your privacy seriously. Because DoP Toolkit's calculations and data stay on your device, there is no personal data held on our servers to secure.
Changes to this policy
If anything about how DoP Toolkit handles data changes, we'll update this page and, where required, the App Store's privacy label before that change ships.
