Terms of Use

About these terms

Fuel Prices is developed by Toby Jones in England, UK. By using the app you agree to these terms. Fuel Prices is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with these terms.

Where prices come from

Prices and forecourt details come from the UK Government's Fuel Finder service and are shown as published by each forecourt. Fuel Prices is an independent app. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the UK Government or by any fuel supplier.

No guarantees about prices

Prices can change, or be wrong or out of date, before they reach the app. A price shown in Fuel Prices may differ from the price at the pump, and the price at the pump is the one that applies. Don't rely on Fuel Prices for any decision where an error would cause you serious loss. Opening times, status and distances are guides.

Fair presentation

Lists are ordered only by price or distance. Fuel Prices doesn't promote, hide or re-rank any supplier, and doesn't alter prices, timestamps or other published details. Display options, such as showing pounds or rounding, change only how a price is written, and the station page always lists the exact published price.

Reporting an error

If a price or forecourt detail looks wrong, use Report a discrepancy at the foot of any list, in Settings or on a station page. It opens the government's form. We can't correct data ourselves.

Using the app safely

Don't use Fuel Prices while driving. Set up your route and alerts before you set off, and follow the law and road signs.

Alerts

Price alerts are sent on a best-effort basis. iOS decides when background refreshes run, so an alert can arrive late or not at all, for example if notifications are off or the app can't refresh. Don't rely on an alert alone.

Ads, Remove Ads and tips

Fuel Prices is free to use and shows ads from Google AdMob.

Remove Ads is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly to your Apple Account at the price shown in the App Store. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in the Settings app under your Apple Account › Subscriptions. While it's active, Fuel Prices shows no ads.

Buy Me A Coffee is an optional one-off tip, charged to your Apple Account. It's a voluntary donation: it doesn't unlock any feature, remove ads or add anything to the app, and it isn't refundable except as Apple's policies provide.

Acceptable use

Don't copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app, or use it to overload or interfere with the Fuel Finder service.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Fuel Prices is provided as it is, and we aren't liable for losses that come from relying on its prices, alerts or other information. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms, for example when the app changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
