How it works

Four steps,
no mystery.

  1. 01

    Coffee

A short call or a few messages. What are we making, who is it for, when do you need it, and what's the budget. Honest answer if it isn't a fit.

  2. 02

    Plan

A written outline: approach, schedule, deliverables and a cost estimate. Scripts, storyboards and shot lists where the project needs them.

  3. 03

    Make

Shoot, capture or convert. You see a first cut early, then two rounds of notes are built in - so nothing arrives as a surprise.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Final masters in the formats you actually need, plus platform-sized versions. Project files archived, so a re-edit next year is easy.

Questions

Good to know.

What do you charge?

Everything is quoted per-project. Send me the scope and you'll get a cost estimate to work from.

How quickly can you turn an edit around?

Short-form social edits are usually a few days. A corporate film or music video is typically one to two weeks from footage to final, depending on rounds of notes. Genuine rush jobs can often be accommodated - ask.

Which tape and film formats can you transfer?

VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, Video8, Hi8, Digital8 and MiniDV on the tape side; Super 8, standard 8mm and 16mm on the cine side. If you have something unusual - reel-to-reel audio, obsolete camcorder formats - send a photo and I'll tell you honestly whether I can handle it or point you to someone who can.

How does a live-streamed funeral work?

We speak with you or the funeral director beforehand to agree camera positions with the venue. On the day the setup is deliberately small and quiet - nothing that draws attention. Family and friends receive a private link, and a recording is provided afterwards. If plans change at short notice, that's understood and handled without fuss.

Do you travel?

Yes - based in Blackpool, and happy to travel elsewhere in the UK or abroad for the right project. Editing, conversion and screenwriting work is handled remotely for clients anywhere.

Can you work from footage I already have?

Absolutely - a large part of the work is post-only. Send what you have (a hard drive, a cloud link, or old tapes) and it can be cut, graded, converted to 3D or restored without a new shoot.

Let's get the kettle on.

Tell me what you're making - or what's sitting in a box in the loft - and you'll get a straight answer about whether I can help, what it'll take and what it'll cost.
