Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 September 2026

Overview

Remy - World Recipe Book is developed by Toby Jones. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Remy on iPhone. In short: the app is designed to work without asking you to create an account or hand over personal information to us.

Information we don't collect

Remy does not require you to sign up, log in, or provide your name, email address or any other personal details to browse or save recipes. We don't operate our own analytics or advertising systems, and we don't sell or share your information - because we don't collect it in the first place.

Your recipes & iCloud sync

The recipes you save, along with any notes or custom entries, are stored on your device and synced across your own devices using your personal iCloud account when iCloud Drive is enabled. That data is held in your iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy - we don't have access to it, and it isn't stored on servers we operate.

Purchases

In-app purchases - unlocking individual recipes or the one-time full-app unlock - are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment details; that information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Diagnostics

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's Privacy settings, Apple may provide us with anonymised crash and performance reports to help us fix bugs. These reports don't identify you personally. You can turn this sharing off at any time in Settings.

Children's privacy

Remy does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app requires no account and no personal data to use, there is nothing of that kind for us to hold.

Changes to this policy

If anything about how Remy handles data changes, we'll update this page and, where required, the App Store's privacy label before that change ships.
